Could this be the answer?

There is one question that all estranged family members ask.

Why?

In a recent article there may well be some answers.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-13640483/Why-millennials-cut-parents-theyre-bad-mental-health-Psychologists-explain-theyre-egged-social-media.html?fbclid=IwY2xjawFwm0tleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHe_gu-YrPlU1_gKJmbtG_fjU8p78l3hvThTfWlwnz4fp_k4bwY1NWeC2Qw_aem_7NgEqLwMROfDLI_rw_384g

Many grandparents will say that it was when their estranged family member went to a therapist that the damage appeared to have been done, there are lots of websites where you can read how to cut family members out of your life, and as mentioned in the article websites such as Mumsnet are full of the most vile posts and comments on this particular subject.

This generation is so involved with all social media they hang on every word.

We already know that social media is being blamed for many inappropriate behaviours, be that those keyboard warriors who have nothing better to do but to sit at their keyboards spreading their vile views and almost any subject you care to mention.

Of course these people with extreme views have no idea who their audience is, it could be teenagers who drink in every poisonous word  believing they have to follow these people and believe in everything they spout. It can also people who are struggling with many different scenarios who are desperate for support, so these websites seem to hold all the answers, and of course they are not accountable to anyone.

In the article it says that 1/5 of families, that is 12 million families affected in the UK alone have lost contact.

Of course there will be totally legitimate reasons for making that drastic decision, but not all by any means.

I keep looking at that number, 12 million!

It appears that we are fighting against an immovable force, the Genie is out of the bottle.
