On June 14th 2020 the fifth Grandparents Alienation Awareness Day will take place.
It is a day that we have imported from USA but it has gained provenance in recent years, across the world.
Thinking of ways to mark the day, we are going to decorate pebbles, you could paint the first name of your grandchild, or do a painting of something that signifies your alienation. The idea then is to leave your pebble somewhere in your area, where people go. We have composed an explanation for you to attach to the pebble, you can then place it somewhere were people will see it, so maybe on a bench in a public place or under a tree, the choice is yours.
The explanation will need to be laminated or covered in something to keep it weatherproof.
We know how creative you can all be, so just let your imagination run riot.
Of course you can do as many pebbles of love as you wish, the idea is to spread awareness.
If you would like a copy of the explanation to print off, please email me jane@bgsg.co.uk.
It would be wonderful to have a photo of your pebble of love, to post on Facebook etc.
Just one word of caution, just use the first name of your grandchild.
