Although it is still November we are already preparing for Christmas.
Christmas is always a really difficult time for grandparents and grandchildren who will not be able to share the festive period together.
Most of you will know that for the last 10 years we have had a Christmas Tree in our front garden, ‘Our Tree of Hope,’ where grandparents write messages to their grandchildren, watching the tree fill up with wonderful messages of love is such a privilege, it is our little beacon of light at a time where we can feel surrounded by darkness.
For those grandparents who can’t actually get here, you can email me your messages and I will write them for you and put them on the tree.
I use special waterproof labels and waterproof pens.
We also sell Christmas cards to help raise funds for the charity, they are in packs of 5 and cost £5 per pack plus postage, which depends on weight and location, again please email me if you would like some.
There is a deadline for the cards November 20th.
The Christmas cards are a great way of raising awareness.
