As we are nearly at the end of 2019, I would just like to thank a few people.
Thanks go to Bristol Grandparents Support Group trustees, thanks for your ongoing support and help.
Thank you to our Patrons, Dame Esther Rantzen and our new Patron Erin Pizzey, there are changes on the way, the tide is turning and we will get public acknowledgement from organisations and groups who purport to support children, that Parental and Grandparent Alienation is emotional abuse against children and grandchildren, and it is a child welfare/protection issue.
Thank you to https://www.pixelsandthings.co.uk/ for keeping our website up to date and putting up with me just thinking up ideas, that wont work on websites!
A huge thank you to AP, for his constant support and advice, always a safe pair of hands, and a great friend.
Thank you to everyone who donates either regularly or one offs, and https://resolution.org.uk/committee/bristol/ who have continued with their support. Without donations we would not be able to continue in supporting grandparents the way we do.
To each and every grandparent who has contacted BGSG, for your kind words and for your friendships, you are so valued and the help you pass on to others is outstanding.
As the years have gone by we have increased groups all over the UK and beyond, thank you to all group leaders for all you do in supporting grandparents in your areas, you are a life-line to so many. Without you many grandparents would still be suffering in silence, they are no longer alone and isolated.
I can never thank Marc and all my family who have supported me in building BGSG, it is true to say during difficult times, they have said it’s time to stop but they know that BGSG is now part of who I am and my passion, I can never stop! When people turn on you, which does happen quite often, it is hard, hurtful and painful but BGSG is bigger than that so we will ride those times, simply because it is not about any one person, it is all about the grandchildren, we have always been focussed on the children and will continue to do so.
Last but absolutely not least.
Thank you to the person who is completely responsible for BGSG.
Our beautiful granddaughter, a granddaughter who was not in our lives for 11 years but is back with us all now. Had it not been for the most terrible experience of all of our lives there would still be millions of grandparents struggling to find help and support. Often when we face some catastrophic time in our lives we have to do something, we have to turn a horrendous negative into a positive and I hope that is what we have done.
So as we say goodbye to 2019, we look forward to 2020. Of working with some amazing people to make sure that Parental Alienation and Grandparent Alienation is seen for what it is, emotional abuse against children/grandchildren.
Thank you everyone.
